If the election is set aside as a result of a final determination in a proceeding instituted pursuant to section 2-224 of this article, a new election shall be held. The right to such an election shall be complete upon the filing of certified copies of such final determination with the town clerks of the towns in which any portion of such territory is located. Upon such filing such clerks shall give notice of a new election. All the provisions of this article regulating the first election shall apply to a new election. Further new elections shall be held in like manner if any subsequent election is set aside.
