New York Consolidated Laws, Uniform Justice Court Act - UJC § 1901. Costs;  amount

(a) for money only:  for one hundred dollars or under, five dollars;  for every additional one hundred dollars or fractional part thereof, five dollars.

(b) for the recovery of a chattel:  the amounts provided by subdivision (a), based upon the value of the chattel as determined by the judgment or claimed by the adverse party, as the case may be.
