All actions and proceedings pending in any court to which this act applies, at the time this act takes effect, shall remain in the court and shall be governed by the following subdivisions of this section.
(a) No such action or proceeding, or appeal taken therein, shall abate by virtue of the application of this act to the court.
(b) For the purpose of the disposition of such pending action or proceeding only, the jurisdiction of the court shall be deemed expanded to that of the court under provisions applicable prior to the effective date of this act whenever necessary to sustain the jurisdiction of the court over such action or proceeding if the court had jurisdiction of the same under such provisions.
(c) Except as provided for in the foregoing, practice and procedure in such actions and proceedings shall be as if the same were instituted after the effective date of this act. But if the court shall find that a practice or procedure available prior to the effective date of this act, but unavailable after such effective date, is necessary to the disposition of such action or proceeding, the court may permit recourse to or completion of the same.
