1. In any proceeding under 1123, subdivision 2, subparagraph (j) (iii) 1 service upon the public administrator having jurisdiction shall be sufficient and service upon any officer of the city of New York shall not be required.
2. In such proceeding neither the comptroller nor the corporation counsel of the city of New York shall be charged with any duty in respect of the proceedings or with any responsibility for the distribution of the funds made pursuant to the order or decree therein.
3. The public administrator shall in each such proceeding give notice to the corporation counsel of the city of New York of the pendency of the proceeding and shall file a copy of the notice with proof of service thereof as part of the record of the proceeding before entry of an order or decree therein.
