A public welfare official shall deposit any funds received from the seizure of property or collection of penalties for the support of a living person. Such fund shall, as provided in section eighty-seven, be held and used upon such terms as the court shall direct for the benefit of such person. If the beneficiary of the fund is a minor, the court may require the public welfare official to give security and to report.
