New York Consolidated Laws, Real Property Actions and Proceedings Law - RPA § 966. Payment of proceeds directly to parties in cases involving decedent's property

Where the property has been sold free from the lien of debts and the court is furnished with the certificates described in subdivision 2 of section 965, the final judgment shall direct payment of the proceeds of sale to such parties as are entitled thereto.
