All license denials, suspensions and revocations imposed by the pertinent racing and gambling authorities of other jurisdictions, including states, United States territories, and Canadian provinces shall be recognized and enforced by the commission unless application is made for a hearing at which time the applicant may show cause as to why such penalty should not be enforced against the applicant in this state. If a hearing is granted, the commission may delay the imposition of the suspension or revocation of the license. The commission must take reasonable steps to make the licensee aware of the availability of a hearing for example by listing it on the official website, in the license instructions or in the racing program.
