In order to more effectively serve the health and medical needs of the state's agricultural community, the center shall:
1. develop strategies for the provision of comprehensive occupational health services for New York farmers and agricultural workers, including but not limited to migrant workers;
2. research and develop information on the epidemiology of farm-related occupational illness;
3. compile resource material relating to agricultural medicine and preventive health care;
4. provide continuing agricultural health and medical education programs for physicians and other health care personnel and service providers practicing within the state;
5. provide education and other service programs to farmers and agricultural workers on agricultural health and safety issues; and
6. establish relations with existing health care and agricultural interest groups to ensure appropriate, targeted delivery of agricultural health and safety services and information.
