Every provider who provides mammography services shall ascertain when, or if, their patients have had a clinical breast examination prior to providing such service and shall include such information with any mammography results or reports to alert healthcare providers if a clinical breast examination has not recently been performed. Criminal penalties for violation pursuant to subdivisions one and two of section twelve-b of this chapter shall not apply to this section.
