The purpose and duty of the authority is to acquire land in the town of Oyster Bay, Nassau county, and in the towns of Huntington and Babylon, Suffolk county, and to develop, improve, embellish, maintain and operate such land as a public park and public recreation center, and to charge fees for admission thereto and the use thereof sufficient with other revenues to meet its expenses and pay all debts contracted by it, and the authority shall have power to do all things necessary or convenient to carry out such purpose and duty in addition to the express powers conferred in this title.
