For the purposes of this title:
1. “City” means the city of New York.
2. “Director of management and budget” means the director of management and budget of the city of New York.
3. “Fund” means the transit construction fund as established by this title.
4. “Mayor” means the mayor of the city of New York.
5. “State” means the state of New York.
6. “Transit authority” means the New York city transit authority created by section twelve hundred one of this article.
7. “Transit facility” means “transit facility” as such term is defined from time to time in section twelve hundred of this article.
8. “Transportation authority” means the metropolitan transportation authority, as created by section twelve hundred sixty-three of this article.
