1. Whenever the conservation commissioner or the conservation department is referred to or designated in any law, contract or document pertaining to the functions, powers, obligations and duties previously transferred and assigned to the office of parks and recreation, and whenever the commissioner of parks and recreation or the office of parks and recreation is referred to or designated in any law, contract or document heretofore or hereafter executed, enacted or adopted, such reference or designation shall be deemed to refer to the commissioner of parks, recreation and historic preservation or the office of parks, recreation and historic preservation, respectively.
2. Whenever any board, trust, council or commission is referred to or designated in any law, contract or document pertaining to the functions, powers and duties transferred to the office by this act, such reference or designation shall be deemed to refer to the commissioner.
