New York Consolidated Laws, City Criminal Court Act - CRC § 92. Assignment of police officers

The police commissioner of the city shall from time to time assign such officers as the appellate division of the supreme court having jurisdiction may certify are necessary for the service of warrants, and when so assigned such officers shall be subject to the direction and control of the judges of the court, subject always to the rules and discipline of the police department.
