New York Consolidated Laws, Municipal Home Rule Law - MHR § 59. Time of taking effect

This chapter shall take effect January first, nineteen hundred sixty-four, in the event that the amendment of the constitution of the state of New York proposing a new article nine, in relation to a bill of rights and home rule powers for local governments, shall have been approved and ratified by the people at the general election to be held in the year nineteen hundred sixty-three.  1
