New York Consolidated Laws, Lien Law - LIE § 85. Enforcement of lien

If a lien, created by virtue of this article, is founded upon a maritime contract, it can be enforced only by proceedings in the courts of the United States, and in any other case, in the courts of this state, in the manner prescribed in the following sections of this article.
