An insurer or group of insurers may discharge the rate filing obligation required by subsections (b) and (c) of section two thousand three hundred five of this article by giving notice to the superintendent that it uses rates and rate information prepared by a designated rate service organization, with such information and modifications thereof as is necessary fully to inform the superintendent. The rate and rate information of such insurer or group of insurers shall be those filed from time to time by the rate service organization, including any amendments thereto as filed, subject, however, in the case of an insurer to the modifications filed by such insurer.
