New York Consolidated Laws, Indian Law - IND § 53. The marshal

The marshal shall execute all orders, summons and process issued or given to him by the peacemakers or any tribunal created according to the provisions of this chapter, and shall be entitled to receive for his services the same fees as are allowed by law to constables in courts held by justices of the peace.
