Each contracting public agency of this state shall be represented on any interlocal advisory board established by an interlocal agreement to which it is a party. Its representatives shall be appointed by the governing board of the contracting public agency of this state, or in such other manner as shall be prescribed by such governing board. The qualifications, terms of office and compensation, if any, of such representatives shall be prescribed by such governing board, subject to any applicable provisions of the interlocal agreement.
