1. No membership campground operator shall convey or transfer a membership campground unless the transferee takes title or possession subject to all rights of purchasers; or the membership campground operator immediately substitutes for the use of purchasers another campground which is located within a fifty-mile radius and is at least as desirable for the purpose of camping and outdoor recreation as the campground being conveyed or transferred.
2. For the purpose of this section, the terms “convey” and “transfer” shall not include the granting of a security interest in or the pledging of the property for financing purposes, but shall include the assignment of any leasehold interest the campground operator may have in the campground property.
