New York Consolidated Laws, General Business Law - GBS § 1507. Scope

1. This article shall apply to conduct that occurs in whole or in part in New York.  For purposes of this article, conduct takes place wholly outside of New York if the addictive social media platform is accessed by a user who is physically located outside of New York.

2. Nothing in this article shall be construed to impose liability for commercial activities or actions by operators subject to 15 U.S.C. § 6501 that is inconsistent with the treatment of such activities or actions under 15 U.S.C. § 6502.
