The board of supervisors in Nassau county may appropriate annually and provide for the expenditure of such sums as it may deem proper not to exceed the sum of five thousand dollars for the purpose of furnishing suitable and proper comfort and care of persons who, in the interest and promotion of aviation and the public welfare, may depart from or arrive at any flying field located within the county.
