On the conveying of any such prisoners to the warden of such prison and upon returning home, the sheriff or other person having charge of the same, shall make and render to the warden of the prison, an account showing the distance and route traveled, the method of transportation and the items of expenditure paid or incurred, allowable under section six hundred and two; which count shall then, be subscribed and affirmed by him as true under the penalties of perjury to which shall be added the certificate of the warden of such prison, setting forth the number of prisoners so conveyed, and the distance from such prison to the place of their conviction.
