The industrial commissioner 1 may enforce the provisions of sections forty-two, forty-three and forty-four of this chapter. For this purpose he may use the powers of administration, investigation, inquiry, subpoena, and hearing vested in him by the labor law; he may require submission at regular intervals or otherwise of information, records and reports pertinent to discriminatory practices in industries.
