New York Consolidated Laws, Civil Rights Law - CVR § 42. Discrimination by utility companies

It shall be unlawful for any public utility company, as defined in the public service law, to refuse to employ any person in any capacity in the operation or maintenance of a public service on account of the race, creed, color or national origin of such person.
