New York Consolidated Laws, Agriculture and Markets Law - AGM § 31-a. Organization

There shall continue to be in the department a division to be known as the division of the New York state fair.  The head of such division shall be a director, who shall be appointed by the commissioner.  In addition to the functions, powers and duties provided in this article, such division shall continue to exercise and perform, subject to the provisions of this article, the functions, powers and duties of the former state fair commission,  1 as provided by law immediately prior to January first, nineteen hundred and twenty-seven.
