Existing agricultural districts may be consolidated with an existing district undergoing review pursuant to and in the same manner prescribed for district review in section three hundred three-a of this article. The notice of public hearing required by subdivision two of section three hundred three-a of this article shall be given in writing by first class mail to those municipalities whose territories encompass the districts proposed to be consolidated; and to all persons, as listed on the most recent assessment roll, whose land is the subject of a proposed consolidation. In addition to the information required by subdivision two of section three hundred three-a of this article, the notice of hearing shall identify the district into which the existing district or districts will be consolidated and the new anniversary date for the consolidated district.
