Nevada Revised Statutes Title 57. Insurance § 690B.016. Insurer required to notify insured or claimant of right to have repairs made at licensed body shop of his or her choice; prohibition against insurer’s knowing recommendation of unlicensed body shop or required patronization of particular body shop; insurer entitled to rely on validity of license number in estimates or invoices from body shop

1. An insured or a claimant under a policy of insurance may have repairs to a motor vehicle made at the licensed body shop of the insured’s or claimant’s choice. An insurer of motor vehicles shall notify the insured or the claimant of this right when the insurer is first contacted concerning a claim for damage to a motor vehicle.
