Nevada Revised Statutes Title 54. Professions, Occupations and Businesses § 644A.250. General duties: Examinations; issuance of licenses and certificates of registration; reports of violations; inspections

1. Hold examinations to determine the qualifications of all applicants for a license or certificate of registration, except as otherwise provided in this chapter, whose applications have been submitted to it in proper form.

2. Issue licenses to such applicants as may be entitled thereto.

3. Issue certificates of registration to such applicants as may be entitled thereto.

4. License cosmetological establishments and schools of cosmetology.

5. Report to the proper prosecuting officer or law enforcement agency each violation of this chapter coming within its knowledge.

6. Inspect schools of cosmetology, cosmetological establishments and any facility in this State in which threading is conducted to ensure compliance with the statutory requirements and adopted regulations of the Board. This authority extends to any member of the Board or its authorized employees.
