Nevada Revised Statutes Title 54. Professions, Occupations and Businesses § 637B.010. Legislative declaration

The practice of audiology, the practice of speech-language pathology and the practice of fitting and dispensing hearing aids are hereby declared to be learned professions, affecting public safety and welfare and charged with the public interest, and are therefore subject to protection and regulation by the State.
