On or before August 30 of each year, an amount of money which is equal to 1 percent of the fees charged and collected during the immediately preceding fiscal year for hunting, fishing or combination hunting and fishing licenses or limited permits pursuant to NRS 502.240 must be deposited with the State Treasurer for credit to the Wildlife Account in the State General Fund. The Department shall maintain separate accounting records for the receipt and expenditure of that money. An amount not to exceed 10 percent of that money may be used to reimburse the Department for the cost of administering any projects for waterfowl approved pursuant to NRS 502.322. This amount is in addition to compensation allowed persons authorized to issue and sell licenses.
