The Attorney General, the Executive Director of the Department of Taxation and the State Fire Marshal, and their authorized representatives, and any law enforcement officer may examine the books, papers, invoices and other records of any person in possession, control or occupancy of any premises where cigarettes are placed, stored, sold or offered for sale in this State, including, without limitation, any stock of cigarettes on the premises. Each person in possession, control or occupancy of any premises where cigarettes are placed, stored, sold or offered for sale in this State shall cooperate in any such examination.
