The Department shall require governing bodies of local governments, as defined in NRS 354.474, to submit a budget estimate of the local government expenses and income for the current year, and for the budget year, and a compilation of the actual local government expenses and income for the last completed year, in such detail and form as may be required by the Department, after hearing the advice and recommendations of the Committee on Local Government Finance.
