If a candidate whose name appears on the ballot at a primary city election or general city election dies after the applicable date set forth in NRS 293C.370 but before the time of the closing of the polls on the day of the election, the city clerk shall post a notice of the candidate's death at each polling place where the candidate's name will appear on the ballot for the primary city election or general city election.
