The board of county commissioners in any county to which the Unincorporated Town Government Law applies may adopt ordinances to:
1. Amend the boundaries of any unincorporated town; or
2. Upon request of the respective town boards, merge two or more unincorporated towns.
Such ordinances may be adopted whether or not the unincorporated town was created under the provisions of the Unincorporated Town Government Law.
