Nevada Revised Statutes Title 21. Cities and Towns § 266.060. Attainment of higher population category; proclamation of Governor

1. Whenever any city of population category two attains the population of 50,000 or more, or any city of population category three attains the population of 5,000 or more, and that fact is ascertained:

the Governor shall declare, by public proclamation, that city to be of population category one or two, and the city thus changed is governed by the provisions of this chapter applicable to cities of the higher population category.

2. An authenticated copy of the Governor's proclamation must be filed in the Office of the Secretary of State.
