No action may be maintained against the sureties on any bond given by a guardian unless it is commenced within 3 years from the time the guardian is discharged, unless at the time of such discharge the person entitled to bring the action is under any legal disability to sue, in which case the action may be brought at any time within 3 years after the disability is removed.
