1. The citation described in NRS 155.040 must be served by:
(a) Certified mail, with a return receipt requested, on each person required to be served; or
(b) Personal service in the manner provided pursuant to Rule 4(d) of the Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure.
2. If, after due diligence, service cannot be made upon the person to be served, service of the citation may be made by publication in the manner provided by Rule 4(e) of the Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure, by leaving a copy with the person's attorney of record or in such other manner as the court may direct.
