If payments are not made pursuant to the provisions of NRS 1A.580, 1A.590, 1A.600, 1A.630 or 1A.640, the dependent parent of a deceased member of the Judicial Retirement Plan is entitled to receive a cumulative benefit of at least $400 per month, and if there are two dependent parents, each is entitled to receive a cumulative benefit of at least $400 per month. Payments to any parent pursuant to this section must cease upon the death of that parent.
