New Mexico Statutes Chapter 72. Water Law § 72-19-9. Appointment of first board

When the Southern Sandoval County Arroyo Flood Control Act goes into effect, the governor shall forthwith appoint five qualified electors of the authority as the directors comprising the first board. They shall serve until their successors have been elected and qualified. Immediately upon their appointment, the five directors shall meet, qualify and choose officers, as provided for organizational meetings in Section 13 of that act.
