New Mexico Statutes Chapter 3. Municipalities § 3-21-19. Zoning commission

A zoning commission consisting of five members shall be elected by the registered electors residing within the district in accordance with the provisions of the Local Election Act. Members of the commission shall be residents of the district, and each shall be elected for a term of two years. Any vacancy on the commission shall be filled by the remaining members appointing a new member to fill the unexpired term. Members of the commission shall serve without compensation.
