New Mexico Statutes Chapter 21. State and Private Education Institutions § 21-10-10. Purpose

The purpose of this act is to provide funds to New Mexico state university to create an Indian scientific educational assistance and work experience program in order that agriculture, engineering and business education and related work experience opportunities may be provided to Indian students to help prepare them for agricultural sciences, engineering sciences and management positions in irrigation projects, energy resources development, forestry projects, outdoor recreation activities and small business developments to the end that the economic growth and public welfare of New Mexico will be promoted.
