a. The owner or operator of every public community water system required to prepare a Consumer Confidence Report pursuant to the “Safe Drinking Water Act Amendments of 1996,” 42 U.S.C.s. 300f et al., shall include in the Consumer Confidence Report such additional information as required by the Department of Environmental Protection pursuant to rules and regulations adopted, in consultation with the Drinking Water Quality Institute established pursuant to section 10 of P.L.1983, c. 443 (C.58:12A-20), pursuant to section 2 of this act 1.
b. The provisions of subsection a. of this section shall apply to the first Consumer Confidence Report required to be prepared after the adoption of rules and regulations by the Department of Environmental Protection, in consultation with the Drinking Water Quality Institute, pursuant to section 2 of this act.
