The Director of the Division on Women shall be a person qualified by training and experience to perform the duties of thedivision. The director shall be appointed by the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, and shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor during the Governor's term of office and until the appointment and qualification of a successor. The director shall administer the work of the division under the direction and supervision of the commissioner, and shall perform such other functions of the department as the commissioner may prescribe. The director shall receive such salary as shall be provided by law.
