New Jersey Statutes Title 52. State Government, Departments and Officers 52 § 18A-264

a. There is established in the Department of the Treasury a Grants Management Office to improve efficiency, streamline processes, reduce administrative burdens on both granting agencies and grant recipients, and facilitate development and implementation of a Statewide centralized grants management and accountability system.

b. The office shall be under the immediate supervision of a director, who shall report to the State Treasurer and who shall be a person qualified by training and experience to direct the work of such office. The director shall administer the work of the office and shall perform such other functions of the office as necessary to implement the provisions of P.L.2021, c. 122 (C.52:18A-264).

The Director of the Grants Management Office is authorized to call upon any Executive Branch department or agency, including staff in the Governor's Office, to supply the Grants Management Office with information or other assistance as the director determines necessary. Each Executive Branch department and agency is hereby required, to the extent not inconsistent with law, to cooperate fully with the director within the limits of each department's or agency's statutory authority, and to furnish such assistance on as timely a basis as is necessary to accomplish the purpose of this law.

e. The Director of the Grants Management Office shall submit to the Legislature, pursuant to section 2 of P.L.1991, c. 164 (C.52:14-19.1), annually a report that describes all federal funds received by State agencies in the preceding fiscal year.
