New Jersey Statutes Title 52. State Government, Departments and Officers 52 § 18A-151

There is hereby established in the Department of the Treasury the Division of Building and Construction.  1 The division shall be under the immediate supervision of a director who shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the State Treasurer and who shall administer the work of the division under the direction and supervision of the State Treasurer. The State Treasurer shall fix the compensation of the director within the limits of available appropriations.

1 Continuation and transfer of the functions, powers and duties of the Division of Building and Construction to the Division of Property Management and Construction; and abolition of the General Services Administration by Reorganization Plan 003-1997, set out under N.J.S.A. § 52:18A-178.
