New Jersey Statutes Title 51. Standards, Weights, Measures and Containers 51 § 8-16

For violation of any of the provisions of this chapter, done within the view of any weights and measures officer, such weights and measures officer is authorized, without warrant, to arrest the offender or offenders and to conduct him or them before the Superior Court or any municipal court having jurisdiction in the county wherein such arrest is made or the offense is committed.
