Each appointed and voting public member of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority other than the chairman shall receive compensation of $18,000.00 per annum. The compensation of the chairman shall be $23,000.00 per annum. The casino industry representatives shall not be deemed to be public members and shall not receive this compensation. All members shall be reimbursed for actual expenses necessarily incurred in the discharge of their duties. Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law, no officer or employee of the State shall be deemed to have forfeited or shall forfeit his office or employment, or any benefits or emoluments thereof by reason of his acceptance of the office of an ex officio or appointed member of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority or his services therein.Upon enactment of P.L.2011, c. 18 (C.5:12-218 et al.), any member of the authority, reappointed upon expiration of the member's initial term, shall be eligible to receive compensation pursuant to this section; provided, however, that any such member shall not, upon reappointment, be eligible to receive any benefit or compensation in the form of health benefits or pension credits for service with the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.
