New Jersey Statutes Title 47. Public Records 47 § 1-6

No map, plat, plan or chart of lands, required or that may be required by law to be filed, or that may be presented to the county clerk , register of deeds and mortgages or surrogate in any county of this State, shall be received for filing unless the same shall be made upon translucent tracing cloth, with fast-colored, waterproof ink and be accompanied by a cloth-print duplicate.
