Upon receipt of a fee and a written application on forms provided by it, the board shall issue a license without examination to a polysomnographic technologist who holds a valid license issued by another state or possession of the United States or the District of Columbia that has education and experience requirements substantially equivalent to the requirements of this act, so long as the applicant has successfully completed the certification examination administered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, or its successor, or any other examination testing polysomnography approved by the board pursuant to section 10 of this act. 1
