In any local fiscal year for which budget dates have been extended pursuant to section 1 of this act 1, the Director of the Division of Local Government Services may permit temporary budget appropriations to provide for the period between the date upon which the budget was scheduled for adoption pursuant to N.J.S.40A:4-5 and the actual date upon which the budget was adopted.
